Welcome to The Parent Group Collaborative Information exchange platform!  As non-profit parent-support agencies, we believe in working together, sharing information, formal and informal networking, increasing resources for the developmental disability community because it leads to greater social change!

• Respite Tips for Parents and Caregivers (pdf) - Respite Care is temporary, short-term relief from caregiving for a parent, child, or other individual who has special circumstances or special needs that require ongoing care. Respite can be provided in community settings or in a person's home. Caretakers can include not only parents, but also brothers and sisters, grandparents, and extended family and friends. Respite gives caretakers the opportunity to have a rest, to take care of personal matters, to enjoy some leisure time, and occasionally to be relieved of the constant need to care for a child with special needs.
